Infrared Services

Infrared patching repair is used to patch a range of pavement issues including potholes, alligatored and excessively raveled areas, and major cracks. The process involves heating the asphalt to a working temperature of 300 degrees, penetrating the asphalt to a depth of 3" to 4". This heating time takes just under 10 minutes per area.
After removing deteriorated asphalt and raking in new asphalt, the new patch is rolled with a vibratory roller to ensure proper compaction. This process ties the edges of the new patch into the surrounding asphalt without seams.
The finished product has the same or better life expectancy as the surrounding pavement. The repair is frequently up to 23% less expensive than removal scopes and involves considerably less impact on tenant and customer traffic on the property. Infrared is arguably the best patch available for the money.
